WARDIE BAY BREAKWATER – World War II Huts Clean-up

TRAC Engineering are proud to report that four members of staff volunteered to take part in a clean up operation of Wardie Bay Breakwater. Antonio, Paul, Guiseppe and Dean spent a day cleaning up mess left within two World War II huts on the breakwater at Granton.

The litter within the huts was spilling into the water causing pollution. The five team members donned the appropriate PPE and cleared thirty six bags of rubbish. The waste was safely transported to TRAC Engineering’s base at Abington for disposal by the appointed waste carrier. The huts have now been boarded up to prevent a reoccurrence. Excellent feedback was received from the local community, who were delighted to see the pollution and mess cleared up.

It was certainly a tough job in challenging conditions—well done to all involved.
